Vox Privacy Policy

Vox does not collect, store on our servers, sell or share your personal data. Nexus Agent LLC has no servers that receive data from Vox. This policy explains what Vox reads on your phone, why, and where it goes.

What Vox reads, and why

• Your voice. When you start Vox (earbud button, floating button or wake name), it listens through the microphone. Speech is turned into text by your phone's speech recognition service (usually provided by Google, under Google's privacy policy). The wake name is recognized entirely on your phone.
• Screen text through Accessibility. While Vox is running, it reads on-screen text in a fixed list of AI apps and messaging apps you use, so it can read answers and new messages aloud, type your words into the message box, and tap Send or Read aloud. It does not read other apps. When Vox is closed, the service sleeps and receives nothing.
• Notifications. If you allow it, Vox reads notifications from messaging apps so it can tell you about new messages.

Where your data goes

• Stays on your phone: settings, a local activity log for troubleshooting, and phrases Vox learns from you (such as how you like to say “switch to”).
• Sent where you tell it: when you ask a question or ask Vox to tidy or draft a reply, Vox types that text into the AI app you chose (for example Claude, ChatGPT or Gemini), using your own account. That app's provider handles it under its own privacy policy. Messages to people are sent only after you confirm by voice, through your own messaging app.
• Never: Vox does not send data to Nexus Agent LLC, does not use advertising or analytics SDKs, and does not sell or share data with third parties.

Your choices

• Turn off Accessibility, microphone or notification access for Vox at any time in your phone's settings.
• Delete everything Vox keeps by clearing its storage in Settings → Apps → Vox, or by uninstalling it.

Children

Vox is not directed to children under 13 and we do not knowingly process their data.

Changes

If this policy changes, we will update this page and its effective date.
